Okay, thanks to Dawn, I will be having the classroom teachers doing papel picado with the kids. I had thought about it, but initially thought it might be too difficult. I actually think it will be perfect. BUT, now I need a similar project (classroom teachers, pretty simple to teach and clean up, 3-6 yr olds) for the Phillipines. I had planned on a weaving project (group project, weaving into a soccer-type net!), but realized that they will be doing that with me THIS week -- can't do it twice. Any suggestions? It really only has to be loosely related to the country -- using native materials, etc.
