Thanks for the replies. I teach several different art classes @ my high school, but I'm looking for a swap for my Pre-Ap Studio art 2 class (they are mostly sophomores & juniors. We have 2 'tracks' at our school for art- one is the AP track & then we have a 'regular' art class track. This class has the kids that are really into art & are high achieving students (for the most part). There are 25 of them. I did this last year & this was the structure: Each class brainstormed for a theme & then we chose 2 from each class, we consolidated the 4 & chose 2 themes total(does that make sense?). Each student from each class created 2 ATCs, then we took a class set & sent it to the other class & kept one for ourselves. Opening the package from the other class was a big thrill for the students. I'm looking for students that are at a similar level w/ my students & preferably in a different region/state or country even ( I would like it to feel like a cultural exchange as well). My kids are in a suburb of Dallas /Ft. Worth, Texas. I taught in Massachusetts before Texas & it IS a different culture!
